Three Feathers Blanc de Noirs 2018

Blanc de Noirs, literally White from Black, is a French term for white wine made from red or purple grapes.  Three Feathers Estate & Vineyard presents our 2018 Blanc de Noirs: a white wine that furthers our exploration of wines made from Pinot Noir.

Wine Profile

Tasting Notes

This crisp and full-bodied wine tastes of citrus, melon and green apple.

Vineyard Notes

Spring and summer were some of the warmest and driest on record but the 2018 season was longer due to cool autumn weather. The grapes developed complex flavors on the vine while retaining fresh acidity.  This wine is made from variety of Dijon clones of Pinot Noir from Torio Vineyard, Chehalem Mountains, planted in 2011.

Winemaker Notes

A small selection of Dijon clone Pinot Noir was hand-picked in October 2018 and gently pressed into a stainless steel tank.  The resulting juice was fermented for three months, producing a delicate wine of apricot hue.
